The training was conducted in Blantyre-Malawi, at National Bank of Malawi, Training Canter from 9th to 27th July 2018. The aim of the Bioinformatics courses was to equip scientist with bioinformatics knowledge and skills to enable them address biological. The aim of the Bioinformatics courses was to equip scientist with bioinformatics knowledge and skills to enable them address biological questions in their research areas. It is also aimed at introducing the field to upcoming scientists who may wish to specialize in Bioinformatics.
The course was Coordinated by Dr. Elizabeth Kampira (Blantyre Health research Training Trust) and Facilitators by Dr Elizabeth Kampira Dr Benjamin Kumwenda Dr Chisomo Msefula Mr Arthur Mtegha Dr Khuzwayo Jere Dr Arox Kamng’ona Dr Anmol Kiran
Questions in their research areas. It was also aimed at introducing the field to scientists in the consortium and to promote Bioinformatics

Evaluation
• 90% of participants indicated that the objectives of the course were meet
• 82% of participant indicated lecturers were well conversant with their topic
• 95% of participants indicated that they will be able to apply what they learnt into their research/work participants who attended the course
