The Basic and Advanced Data Management Training was successfully completed last week in Maputo, Mozambique. The training took place between 22.05 to 26.05.2023 and was attended by 33 participants from six different countries (Mozambique, Eswatini, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Zambia, and Namibia), who were eager to learn and share their experiences, the training had four remote facilitators from Italy and Luxembourg, and one local facilitator from Mozambique, who did a great job in delivering the sessions and engaging the participants. The participants also had the opportunity to visit the Manhiça Health Research Centre facilities (Laboratory and Data Centre) , where they could see how data is collected, processed, and stored in a real-life setting.
The feedback from the participants was very positive. They appreciated the content, the methodology, and the interaction with the facilitators and their peers. They also expressed interest in continuing their learning journey and applying their new skills and knowledge to their projects.
The training was coordinated by the Manhica Site Project Manager in collaboration with ECRIN and AIGHD (Leader of the work package)
